Thakadu offers two Chalets en suite, with air conditioning. Both Chalets have double beds. We have four en suite Meru tents, one with a double and three with twin beds. We have four Cottage tents each with two single beds, each with their own fire pit, but sharing campsite ablutions. There are several secluded campsites which all have electricity and water. Extra beds are available upon request for the chalet and meru tents. Showers are always hot, and all rooms are cleaned daily!

Our popular Restaurant with its well stocked Bar (overlooking a sparkling pool and waterhole) is recommended with a menu including Kudu, Eland, Beef, Lamb, Gemsbok and even Warthog!

We can arrange a number of activities including Horse Trails, Game Walks, Traditional Dancing, Bushman Walks and Guided Trips into the surrounding wilderness areas!

On your way into the Camp expect to see Springbok, Impala and Kudu. We have frequent visits from Wildebeests, Ostrich, Eland and a number of bird species (most notable the Yellow-billed Hornbill). Not to mention the Striped Ground Squirrels that often feed with the birds!

Thakadu is the perfect stop on your way into the Kalahari for a few nights of camping, or if you are just travelling through as Maun is the next closest town 280 km away!

Expect the best service hosted by the owners themselves as they will love to chat with you about your journeys. It is a very simple yet elegant and very traditional style lodge. Our eco-friendly camp is as natural as you can get, with the landscape hardly touched. We are certain you will be pleased with your stay as our guests always recommend us to their friends!
