The beautifully restored mansion, (1897) was used as quarters for Boers, later British troops in Jan 1900. It has 10 x en suite 3-Star graded guest rooms and a luxury self catering, stone cottage. Large verandahs with stunning views, complete the complexion of this 19th century homestead. Most of the rooms have their own outside entrances, and the 4 luxury rooms are mostly decorated with antique furniture.
This picturesque dwelling is situated on the R616 motor way only 17km off the N3. The R616 joins the N3 motorway with the scenic R74, in the stunning surroundings of the Natal Drakensberg.
Travelling a maximum radius of 65 km from Easby lets you explore the magnificent Drakensberg range; visit a game reserve, do horse riding, or go on adventurous excursions like abseiling, white river rafting, quad bikes, etc. etc. etc. Easby House is a destination on its own and the visitor can enjoy lovely walks on the farm, swim in the pool, laze around in the sun on the beautiful lawns and enjoy the most spectacular views.

You can experience the largest and bloodiest battles of British troops against the legendary Boer Commandos in 1900 on the slopes of ThabaNyama and Spion Kop, directly behind the house. Join a guided 3km walk on a well-maintained trail on the battle sites that starts 20 meters from Easby's back door. There is also a quaint historic stone chapel (1890), which is still used, and available for unforgettable wedding ceremonies. A pool room and pub is built under the house in the old ammunition stash.
