Bushpackers is an owner managed international quality backpackers. Situated in Sabie Valley, this backpackers proofs that affordable prices can go together with good personal service in a relaxed atmosphere.
There are twin rooms, family rooms and a mixed dormitory. Bushpackers offers basic but clean rooms, a nicely stocked bar, splash pool, braaiarea, pool table, internet, a communal
self catering kitchen and a large lush garden to relax in. Home cooked meals are available to order and vegetarians will also be served with a good meal.
Outside is plenty of space for campers to put up their tent and they are well protected from the burning sun by lots of trees. The showers are hot and with a great view on the bush.
Bushpackers is situated on the so called "Panorama Route”. From the lodge you can visit several waterfalls and God’s Window. From there you can follow the route to the spectacular Bourke’s Luck Potholes. Through years of erosion you will find bizarre figures in the rocks.
The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world and the greenest. The viewpoints give a stunning view of the Three Rondavels and the Blyde dam lake.
The Panorama Route is a beautiful route and it is a great day out!
In Hazyview, recently opened, is the Perry’ Bridge Reptile Park with twice a day demonstration with several snakes.
Fans of the gentle giants, the elephants, can learn more about them in the Elephant Sanctuary where you can have a close encounter with them, feed them and walk with them, absolutely thrilling.
For the ones who love dancing and singing, the Shangana Evening Festival is a great way to get introduced into the Shangaan Culture. You will visit a traditional village, meet with the witchdoctor and have dinner with the Chief.
Close to Nelspruit (approximately 70 km) you can visit the Sudwala Caves and the Dinosaur Park.
A visit to the Jane Goodall Institute Chimpanzee Eden (also Nelspruit) is time well worth spend.
In Hoedspruit (approximately 110 km north) you can visit the Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre, which you may have already seen on Animal Planet. At the Cheetah Breeding Project you can have a full and good look at the cheetahs and the special King Cheetah.
